Annette Funicello (born Annette Funicello) was an American musician, actress and performer. Her most famous role was that of "one of the first Mouseketeers" as part of The Mickey Mouse Club. In her teens Annette began singing and was famous for her hit songs, 'TallPaul' as well as Pineapple Princess'. Annette was born in Utica with parents who were Italian immigrants. Her shyness was evident as a young child. She wished to build an income in the entertainment industry and soon took to dancing and acting. The actress gained fame during the 1950s, when she was a part of the "Mouseketeers". Annette could shed her 'Disney" persona she had developed as a young person and embark various adult characters. She was best known as one of the first actors to pioneer"the "beach party" genre. Her roles included "Pajama Parties", 'How to stuff a wild bikini', and 'Beach Party'. The albums of her music were released periodically. Annette had been diagnosed with multiples sclerosis since 1992.
